A New Beginning

For many years I wrote a blog on Blogspot. However since I am now using my own website, I will now focus my efforts here. This is a new beginning!

Of course my intent is to develop a following of people who are interesting in learning and dialog. As a teacher, I want to teach. But as a follower of Jesus, I want to dialog with other followers (and perhaps some who are interested in or questioning Christianity) who desire to learn more about God (Yahweh), his ways and how to serve him better. I hope you become involved enough to join in the conversation. I value other opinions and honest debate. Know that I will moderate any input that gets off track, mean, or rude. I am not looking for a fight. We will be kind, courteous, and supportive here.

I will definitely write on a variety of subjects- I do a lot of reading and listening to books. Lately most have been Christian, because since retiring, I do not want to become an old stick-in-the-mud, trapped defiantly in my ways. Rather I want to continue learning and understanding the amazing God we serve. Of course my favorite genre is SciFi, but except for references here and there, I will try to keep my focus on Christian subjects.

I want you to get to know me as we progress through this journey together. Hopefully your responses will allow me to get to know you as well. Is there a better way to go through life than with others?

Here is a truth that has become very real for me:

"The more I learn, the more I realize there is much more I do not know."

I know I've got a long road ahead of me (well, I am 69- let's hope I have a long way to go yet!) and am enjoying the educational walk along the way.
